Dodie Sorrell worked as a designer and colourist for John Wolf Textiles in New York, for Moygashel Fabrics Stevenson & Son Ltd in London and for the Boggia Design Studio in Como, Italy.
She studied Drawing at The Art Student's League in New York and Printed Textiles at Hornsey College of Art in London and then at the School for American Craftsmen at Rochester Institute of Technology New York.
Dodie has worked to commission for many years creating bold & original designs using a variety of techniques which include hand block printing, stencilling & screen printing. She has also produced murals, painted furniture & many decorative schemes.
She now develops screen prints in limited editions or as monoprints which oftern inspire her patterns for textiles. With her strong sense of design & artist skills, Dodie brings a unique & stricking aesthetic to fabric design, printmaking & decorative work.
